The artistic duo was established by Luciano Paselli (1983) and Matteo Tommaso Petri (1981). They became friends during their childhood, which they spent in the Apennines not far from Bologna.
The duo PetriPaselli has begun to collaborate on artistic projects since 2007 because of their shared passion for photography and their mutual hobby of collecting things.
They soon acquired more and more awareness, knowledge and experience in the field of art and design. All this let them be the Italian guests at the Forum de l’Image in Toulouse, they set up their first solo exhibition at L’Ariete contemporary art gallery, OltreDimore Gallery, Adiacenze Gallery and at DaviaBargellini museum in Bologna.
PetriPaselli’s curriculum also counts group exhibitions at MART-Contemporary Art Museum-Rovereto, Villa Impero – Photology, Palazzo della Permanente – Milan, Forte Stella – Argentario.

Photographic research and collecting are the site’s main topics. PetriPaselli’s aim is the decontextualization of different object in order to bring new photographic creations and experimentations forth.
Even if they focus principally on photography, their goal is to range over all the fields of art, offering the viewer a continuous melting pot (photography, videos, music and objects) as well as a place in which you can feel as a part of.
“The duo PetriPaselli searches for a mix between reality and non-stereotypical imagination through the decontextualization and the compulsive transformation of the object.”
